Raymond Emrich Obituary

Raymond Emrich Sr.
Raymond E. Emrich Sr., 74, husband of Rosemary R. (Graten) Emrich of Spring City, died Thursday, May 29, 2008, at home. Born in Phoenixville, he was the son of the late Russell E. Sr. and Elizabeth (Arndt) Emrich. He was a graduate of Phoenixville High School Class of 1952. He worked for Boiler Engineering, Bechtel Power, Leighton Industries and Potts Welding. He was a member of the Baptist Church of Phoenixville, International Management Council, Chester County F.E.M.A., and he was a dedicated volunteer for Phoenixville Baptist Church food bank. He had been a Little League and Babe Ruth Coach and Umpire, and a Cubmaster and Boy Scout Leader of Troop 139, Phoenixville. He was an avid golfer, recording three holes-in-one. Survivors: Wife; daughters and sons, Cheryl wife of Peter Johnson of Newport, Raymond Jr. husband of Jennifer Emrich of Upper Providence, Chrisanne wife of Mark Katkovcin of Whitehall, Russell husband of Kelli Emrich of Reading; 10 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Robert husband of Eileen Emrich of Wilmington, Del., Richard husband of Doris Emrich of Dover, N.J., Carol wife of Carl Burkhart of Phoenixville; sister-in-law, Carolyn Emrich of Phoenixville. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Michele Huston, and brother, Russell Emrich. Services: Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 11 a.m., Monday, June 2, at the Baptist Church of Phoenixville, Church and Gay Streets, Phoenixville, with Rev. Brent D. Miller officiating. Relatives and friends may call 9:30-11 a.m. Monday, at the church.Burial will be private in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Spring City. Arrangements are by the Devlin-Rosmos-Kepp Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Main Street at Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Baptist Church of Phoenixville, P.O. Box 226, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
