Raymond Hammersten Obituary

Raymond B. Hammersten, Jr.
Raymond B. Hammersten, Jr., 70, of Emmaus formerly of Easton, died December 31, 2013 in Easton Hospital. He was the husband of the late Madeline (Piazza) Hammersten. Born in Bangor, PA, he was the son of the late Raymond B., Sr. and Ann P. (Myers) Hammersten. He was a union electrician for local IBEW 102, retiring in 2002. Raymond was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during the Vietnam War, and was a member of the American Legion Post 739 in Hokendauqua. Survivors: He is survived by his three children, Michelle L. Arechiga (Rick) of Emmaus, Eugene W. Cope (Brenda) of Ft. Myers, FL, and Karen Sawyer (Michael) of Easton; five grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Jim and Larry. Services: Services will be held at the convenience of the family. The C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com), Quakertown is in charge of the arrangements. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, Lehigh Valley Unit, 3893 Adler Place Suite 170, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
