Richard Anthony Obituary

Richard William Anthony, Sr., 84, of Salisbury Township, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 in his home, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Rosemarie (Mulzet) Anthony, who died in 2003.

Born in Allentown, he was one of 8 children of the late Rudolph Anthony and Aurelia (Fiedler) Seifert. Dick was a 1957 graduate of William Allen High School. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Dick was a roofer for the Local 30 Union for more than 30 years. He attended St. Paul's R.C. Church in Allentown. Dick was an avid hunter and fisherman who spend many years visiting Potter County with his son. He enjoyed gardening, canning and doing anything outdoors. Dick was also a lifetime member of the NRA.

Survivors: Daughter, Gail M. Bissey and her fiancé James Falatko of Salisbury Township; son, Richard William Anthony, Jr. of New Tripoli; sister, Hilda Seifert of Palmerton; 2 granddaughters, Amanda Bissey (Alex Jacob) and Hannah Anthony; 2 great-granddaughters, Ava and Addison. Dick was preceded in death by a daughter Carol Ann Anthony.

Services: Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 in the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, 46 E. Susquehanna Street, Allentown. A viewing for relatives and friends will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service. Interment with military honors will follow at St. Mark's Cemetery, Allentown.
