Richard D. Dent
Richard D. Dent, 88, formerly of Schnecksville, died December 26, 2010 in Country Meadows of Allentown. He was the husband of the late Roberta Bobbye Tinsman Dent and the late Ruth (Brossman) Dent. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Harry C. and Elizabeth (Patch) Dent. He graduated from Allentown High School, attending Muhlenberg College and graduated from the Pratt Institute with a degree in Industrial Design. He was a member of the Quiet Birdman and the Baum School of Art where he was a former member of the Board of Directors. He was employed at Bally Case and Cooler for many years and then at Dent Manufacturing until retiring. He served as a pilot during World War II in the Army Air Corps. Survivors: Daughters, Sally E. Jackson and husband Lee W., of Ft. Pierce, FL and Nancy C. Dent and husband, Richard Cavagnero of Waltham, MA; nieces and nephews; and close friends including Gloria and Benny Pacelli. He was predeceased by brothers, Harold, Charlie, Jack and Walter Pete Dent, and sisters, Jane Enloe, Jessie Cool and Mary Dent Crisp. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Tuscan room in Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 17th and Hamilton Streets, Allentown. A calling period to greet the family will be from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Womelsdorf Union Cemetery, Berks County. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lewy Body Dementia, 912 Killian Hill Road S.W., Liburn, GA 30047 in Richard Dents memory.

I was employed as Mr. Dent's housekeeper for over 20 years. He was caring, kind hearted and generous. It was my privilege and honor to know him. I have many fond memories shared over a cup of tea. He will certainly be missed by all who knew him.
