Richard S. Ehrie

Richard S. Ehrie, 78, of Topton, formerly of Allentown, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township. Born in Allentown, Richard was a son of the late Harold K. & Miriam S. (Thompson) Ehrie. Richard was employed as a custodian for over 28 years for East Penn Manufacturing Company, Inc., Lyon Station, until his retirement in 2008. He also was employed at Caloric Corporation, at its former Topton plant. Rich enjoyed car shows and keeping his car maintained. He enjoyed NASCAR and watching old movies. Richard is survived by his son, Rich J., husband of Cristin S. (Miller) Ehrie, Topton; and two grandchildren, Richie C. Ehrie and Cheyenne F. Ehrie, both of Topton. In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by three brothers. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown. A graveside service to celebrate and honor Richard's life will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Berks County Memorial Gardens, 201 Evansville Road, Fleetwood.
