Richard Seidel Obituary

Richard P. Seidel, 92, of New Tripoli, passed away peacefully Monday, February 13, 2023 in his home. He was the husband of Thelma L. (Kocher) Seidel to whom he was married 71 years. Born in South Whitehall Township, June 20, 1930, Richard was the son of the late LeRoy M. and Hattie M. (Muth) Seidel. A member of the PA Farmer's Association, he was a life-long farmer in Lehigh County since 1946. Richard also worked at the former Lehigh Valley Dairy and drove truck for the former K & R Loch Milk Hauling for many years. Richard was a member of the United Church of Christ congregation of Ziegels Union Church, Breingsville and the Ontelaunee Rod & Gun Club, New Tripoli.

Survivors: In addition to his loving wife, Thelma; children, Cheryl J. Hoffner (John), Lisa A. Pollock (Robert), Jeff P. Seidel (Barbara) all of New Tripoli; sister, Susan J. Moll of Kutztown; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; predeceased by a son, Keith R. Seidel, a grandson, David P. Hoffner, great-granddaughter, Brittani M. Hoffner, four sisters, two brothers.

Service: Funeral services will be held 11:00 am. Friday, February 17, 2023 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. Dr. Larry D. Pickens officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:30 am. – 11:00 am. Friday in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Ziegels Union Church Cemetery, Breinigsville. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Weisenberg Volunteer Fire Department and/or Cetronia Ambulance Corps both in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box # 196, Schnecksville, PA 18078-0196.

So sorry for he pain you feel inside your heart. I got to know Richard through his Sister Annette when she took me out to see Richard's Farm when they had the Pumpkin Patch.
