Richard Wagner Obituary

Wagner, Richard V.Richard "Waggie" V. Wagner, 84, of Allentown, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015 in Phoebe Home, Allentown. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Robert and Mamie (Kehm) Wagner. Richard was the loving husband of Ella May (Hillegass) Wagner with whom he celebrated 64 ½ wonderful years of marriage. He served his country honorably as a Sergeant in the Army during the Korean War. Richard was a part-time sales person at Equipment Professionals, a business owned and operated by his son for 16 years. Prior to that he was a supervisor for 30 years at Rodale Manufacturing in Emmaus and worked with electrical components at the former Square D for 10 years. Richard was of the Lutheran Faith and a life member of Fearless Fire Company, Allentown and a member of the Fireman's Relief Association. Survivors: In addition to his beloved wife, Ella May; son, Richard of Cape Coral, FL; sister, June Sell and husband William of Allentown; grandsons, Jason of Emmaus, Lucas of Cape Coral, FL; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Kellar, Pauline Wagner both of Allentown; brother-in-law, Harry Hillegass of Emmaus; god daughter, Lora Baia of Emmaus; wonderful friend and helper, Lois Kellar of Allentown; many nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Services: A viewing for family and friends to be held 1:00 - 3:00pm, Friday March 20, 2015 in the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Inc. 46 E. Susquehanna St., Allentown. Private Services at the convenience of the family. Contributions: To the charity of one's choice.
