Rita Holly, 94, of Bethlehem, died on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Westminster Village in Allentown. She was born in Elizabeth, NJ; the daughter of the late Anthony V. and Mary (Clifford) McCaffrey. She was the loving wife of the late Richard W. Holly who died in 1998. Rita dedicated her life to her family. She was a charter member of St. Annes Catholic Church, Bethlehem. She was a member of St. Annes Sodality. She was devoted to the Blessed Mother and the power of prayer. Rita always went out of her way for others. She had a tremendous ability to put a smile on your face regardless of what was happening in your life. She had a tireless ability to share her love in many ways but especially by sending birthday cards to family and friends of family well into her late 80s. This added up to over 100 cards per year. Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, M. Kathleen Holly, wife of Dr. P.J. Sharma of Wilmington, NC; sons, Michael R. Holly and his wife, Mary Kay, of Malvern, PA; Robert A. Holly and his wife, Andrene, of Bethlehem; daughter, Patricia, wife of Glenn Zechman also of Bethlehem; 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her six brothers, James, Anthony, William, John, Daniel and Francis. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 10 a.m. at St. Annes Catholic Church, 450 Washington Ave. Bethlehem, PA. Visitation will be Monday, July 05, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m and again on Tuesday, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem.
