Robert Flecksteiner Obituary
Robert A. Flecksteiner, 75, of Bethlehem, died Thursday, February 19, 2009 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Barbara (Flexer) Flecksteiner, with whom he celebrated 46 years of marriage last June 30. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late William Sr. and Julia (Enright) Flecksteiner. Bob served in the Army during the Korean War. He was the caretaker for Holy Ghost Cemetery for 31 years until becoming ill. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a fork lift operator for Perkasie Industries and also for Bethlehem Steel Corp. He was a member of University Parish of Holy Ghost, where he served as an usher and also Sacristan at the 10 a.m. Mass for 20 years. He was also a member of St. Bernards. Bob was devoted to his family and church and lived life to serve everyone. Survivors: He will be lovingly remembered by his wife; son, Robert A. Flecksteiner Jr. and his wife, Tanya and their children, Tavia and Nathan, and daughter, Lori A. Laws and her husband, Michael, all of Bethlehem; sisters, Mary Hunsberger of Perkasie and Helen Stoneback of Bethlehem; nieces, nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, John, William Jr., Joseph and James. Services: The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. and Monday, Feb.23, 2009 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway Fountain Hill, followed by an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in the University Parish of Holy Ghost, 417 Carlton Ave., Bethlehem. Interment, with full military honors, will be in Holy Ghost Cemetery, Bethlehem. Online condolences may be made at: www.cantelmifuneralhome.com. We are so very sorry for your loss. Mr. Flecksteiner was truly a great man. He was so nice to talk to and he really helped me whenever I needed help at the cemetery, I will never forget him for that. He always told me Bobby, how much he loved to go to your house to watch your kids for you. I will miss seeing him around when I go down to see my mom. We are here for you if you need anything. We will pray for your dad and your family.

Mrs Flecksteiner,
I was deeply saddened to see that Bob passed away. I always used to joke with him when he came into Dr. Sharma's office about going out on a date. Then he would say that he would have to check with you. It was cute. He always talked highly of you and his family. It truly was a pleasure knowing Bob. I will miss him dearly. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts during this difficult time. God is lucky to have him. He truly is an angel.
