Horan & McConaty Funeral Service & Cremation - Southwest Denver/LakewoodWilliam (Bill) Flecksteiner, age 82, passed away on January 23rd, 2026. He was born and raised in Trinidad Colorado and graduated from Trinidad High School in 1961. From 1961-1963 he attended Trinidad State Jr College and received a degree in Engineering and in 1965 received another degree in Computer Maintenance. That same year he married Donna Jean Cordova and they moved to Saint Paul Minnesota where he began working for Univac Defense Systems as a Field Engineer. Later that year they moved to Washington D.C. where he worked at the Pentagon until 1967. Bill’s job moved him and his family to California, Rhode Island and back to Colorado where he finished his career with Lockhead Martin in 2008.
Bill was a very active person. In school he joined the Civil Air Patrol performing many search and rescue ops, was Master Counselor in Demolay, built up a 1958 Ford and participated in many drag racing competitions. His greatest passion was being a Volunteer Reserve Police Officer for the Jefferson County Sherriff Department from 1980-2015.
Bill is survived by his wife Donna of 60 years, his 4 Children, Derna Sodia (Ken Howell), Tammy Feher, Billie Davison (Tim Davison), and Wade Flecksteiner (Rene Flecksteiner), Sister, Carol Newman, 6 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Nancy Leon Flecksteiner, William F. Flecksteiner, stepmother Helen Flecksteiner, brother, Robert Flecksteiner.
Funeral services will take place at Notre Dame Catholic Church on February 20th, 2026. Rosary will be at 10:00am, Mass at 10:30am. A small reception will follow at the church.
