Rosemary Anne Leberer of Golden, Colorado, died in her home on February 2, 2026 at the age of 94.
Rosemary was born in Denver on July 13, 1931 and was one of three children in the closeknit Erger family. She and her siblings attended St. Elizabeth Elementary school in the Auraria neighborhood of Denver. She went on to graduate from Cathedral High School in 1949, and was awarded a scholarship to Loretta Heights college and entered the nursing program. Upon graduation, Rosemary spent several years as a nurse working in the maternity ward of St. Joseph’s Hospital. After her work at St. Joe’s, Rosemary spent the rest of her career working as a school nurse for the Denver Public Schools, where she oversaw the health of elementary school students in three schools, simultaneously.
Rosemary married Robert Leberer (Bob) of Denver on September 9, 1961. They raised their three children in the home that Bob’s father had built in 1905, at 234 South Emerson Street in Denver. Their favorite hobby and main mission was always the well being and happiness of their kids. When Rosemary lost her husband Bob to cancer in 1980, that mission was never more clear to her. And she continued it for 45 years, eventually extending it to her two grandkids. A big part of Rosemary’s shared happiness with her family centered around her love of following a wide range of sports.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband Bob and her brother John Erger; and is survived by her sister, Sister Catherine Erger SC, her three children, Julie Halliwell (Joel), Rob Leberer (Tamara) and Trina Leberer (Greg Fulcher), as well and her two grandchildren, Sean Halliwell and Erin Halliwell.
A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 beginning at 4:30pm followed by a Recitation of the Rosary at 5:00 PM both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 10:00AM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel. Rosemary will be laid to rest at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
