Robert Rosenblum Obituary

Robert M. Rosenblum, 61, of Stroudsburg, formerly of Philadelphia, died Aug. 30 in his home. He was married to Holly (Thomas) Gravel. A lawyer in the Pocono Mountains, and previously in Philadelphia, specializing in criminal defense, he was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, Philadelphia. Following graduation from law school, he was awarded a Ford Foundation Grant and served as counsel to the House of Representatives Judiciary Committee. He worked in seven foreign countries and assisted American citizens in being released from foreign prisons. He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Temple University, Philadelphia, in 1963. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Louis and Dorothy (Segan) Rosenblum. He was a member of the Monroe County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, serving on its board of directors. He served on the faculty at seminars conducted by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the PACDL. Survivors: Wife; son, David A. of Los Angeles, Calif. Services: memorial, 1 p.m. Sept. 7, Peppe's Restaurant, Eagle Valley Mall, East Stroudsburg. Arrangements, William H. Clark Funeral Home, Stroudsburg. Contributions: Scholarship fund for children, c/o Sheriff Todd Martin, Monroe County Courthouse, Stroudsburg.
