I decided to share a short story. Without Bob I never would have met my now husband. My father invited him to play golf one Saturday and I and my mother went along to go to the pool. When we were all done we had lunch on the Patio. The waitress came out and handed me a note...someone inside wanted to meet me to ask me out. I thought it was a joke as I knew a couple of people that worked there and passed it off. Then as it turned out I went inside anyway and there he was just standing there and I realized it was not a joke. I went back to the table to say as much...my parents said NO you are not 16 yet...here is where Bob comes in..." ah come on Al, let her go...what's another couple of months going to change". Bob convinced him to let me go. That was almost 48 years ago.

To my cousin Bobby as we all knew him. Always a straight shooter who told you like it was whether you wanted to hear it or not . A wonderful doctor who always went that extra mile for us. A very caring man...we will miss you....

Dr Saks was my physician for at least 20 years, until we moved farther away. He was an excellent diagnostician, discovering my punctured lung when i was in a car accident with my children. The ER, never found it initially. With the death of my daughter. he encouraged my husband and I to see a colleague for counseling. Each time I saw him, it was like I was his only patient that day. So different ftom today's over scheduling and shuffling people in and out. I hope his family knows how much he meant to so many people. Thank you so much for sharing him over the years.

Nancy and family:
My prayers to you
Although I never had opportunity to meet you, Bob was a mentor to me at an early age, that helped me to forge into an unknown profession.
He was working at Easton Hospital in the ER, and I was working there as on Orderly while going to Moravian College.
We quickly became friends and when there was a lull in the ER we played CHESS together.
I was a psych major at Moravian, but Bob saw something in me and suggested I look into a PA PROGRAM.
I did and with Bob's letter of recommendation and sponsorship from an Orthopod named Rolf Johnson from Easton, I was accepted to PA PROGRAM at DUKE University and graduated in 1976 to became the first formally trained PA in Lehigh Valley and was working with Brendan O'Brien at AOH. We kept in touch over the years, but lost touch after we both retired
He was a good man, and a good friend to me
So sorry for your loss

I can never put into words just how much Bob meant in my life. He and Nancy took me under their wing when I came to work at Willy Joe's around 1980. They gave me their trust and showed me unconditional compassion during one of the most challenging times of my life. They gave me purpose and helped me through many struggles all while treating me like a member of their own family.
I feel honored to have had Bob as a lifelong friend. I will miss my talks with him, but will always carry him with me. Nancy, Scott, Kristin and Brett, my warmest thoughts are with you and your families.
