Robert E. Sulzer
Robert E. Sulzer, 75, of Schnecksville, died Monday, January 14, 2013 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Shirley A. (Oswald) Sulzer. The couple celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary last April 20. Born in Allentown, April 11, 1937, Robert was the son of the late Edward Sr. and Anna (Gerlach) Sulzer. A member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local # 19, Robert worked in constructions for 30 years before retiring in 1987. An avid outdoorsman, he was a life member of the Copeechan Fish & Games Club and the Ontelaunee Rod & Gun Club. Robert also had a passion for photography. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Shirley; children, Cheryl L. Handler and her significant other, Christopher Rex, of Kempton, Wade R. Buck Sulzer of New Tripoli; siblings, Edward Sulzer, Jr. of North Dakota, John Jack Sulzer of Allentown, Barbara Burda of Montana, Carol Trapp of Germansville, James Sulzer of Kempton; grandchildren, John, Jesse, and Megan. Services: A visitation period will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m., Friday, January 18, 2013 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Arthritis Foundation and/or the American Diabetes Association both in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box # 196, Schnecksville, PA 18078-0196.
