Hey Pop
Not nearly a day goes by where I don´t have a thought about you... in some random way or something more like hearing about WW2 and remembering your story. I heard that so often that I wrote it down so I don´t forget it, but still know it without having to read it...
And the irony is I now live a few miles from where you grew up and that makes me wonder how you would have lived back then and what you´d think of this area today. I miss you and honor your memory. It was a privilege to hear your stories and know you.

Dear Tomsic Family,
I just read Great Uncle Robert's obituary. The last time I saw Uncle Robert was at my mother's funeral in May. Her name was Bernardine (Tomsic) Ceraul, Frank Tomsic's daughter. She always talked so highly of Uncle Robert, I believe he may have been her favorite Uncle. I also remember him coming to my father's birthday party in May of 2005. It always amazed me that at his age, he would travel such a long way for just a party or a funeral. Many would just send a card or flowers to show their respects. Family must have been a very important part of his life. He was always so full of life whenever I saw him. He also had such a sense of humor and spoke his mind, but kindly and honestly. My sister lives very close to Suffern, in W. Nyack and I had talked about going to see Uncle Robert the next time I went up to see my sister. I am so sorry that was not meant to be. I will miss him. May God comfort you all and give you peace at this most difficult time.

Angels do walk among us, for Robert Tomsic was an angel.
Frances was calling "we have been separated long enough, it is time for you to join me" and so he left his worldly life and joined his beloved wife. May you both rest in the arms of Jesus.
Your daughter,
Rosemary

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
