Hey Pappy :)
It's been almost two weeks now, and I still can't seem to make myself believe this all really happened. There's so many things I wish I had done while I still could. I wish I had so many more memories with you. I wish I had gotten to know you better and make you see how much we all love you and care about you. I never thought it would be too late, and I'm so sorry for that, Pappy.
Mommy gave me the necklace you got me for my birthday yesterday, the one you never got to give to me. It's so pretty, Pappy! I cried my eyes out when she gave it to me, and told her how bad I wished it wasn't too late to thank you for it.. for everything. But she's absolutely right. She told me to look up at the sky, and thank you then..
because I don't care what anybody says- you're NOT gone. You're always here. Right here. (I'm pointing at my heart right now just in case you're taking a nap up there and didn't see that. :) )
I'm so glad you're not hurting anymore, Pappy. Thinking about that is the only thing getting me through this. That's what mom keeps reminding us. She's taking it really hard, Pappy. Her, and Jojo, and Nana... everybody is. I hope you know what a big part of our lives you are, and how much we all love you. We miss you like crazyyy. But I'm sure you don't need me to tell you that; you can see for yourself.
The last thing I said to you was that I love you, to please take care of yourself, and that I'll see you later.
I kept wishing I would have had the chance to say goodbye. But now I realize I don't need to say goodbye. Nobody does. Because soon enough, I'll be up there with you, drinking coffee with you and mom and joking around with you.
I love you so much, Pappy.
I'll see you soon!
Always and forever plus a day,
Boopie :)

Dad,
I am so lost for words right now, I don't no how to say goodbye.I have to write this to you instead of the family to try and ease the pain of not having you any more. You have been there for me since I was a little girl. You never once treated me like a step daughter. I was just giving you a hug and kiss at mom's birthday and telling you I love you and the last thing you said was "YUP I LOVE YOU TO" I will never forget everything you have done for me Dad. From you walking me down the isle to driving 90 miles a hour through toll booths without paying to get to the hospital when I had Jojo. And when you picked on me for not having the coffee ready fast enough for you. I can't thank you enough for allowing me the honor to call you my Dad. I miss you,I still can't believe your not here anymore. You will always be in my heart. I will talk to you every night Dad before I go to sleep To say good night and I love you.
Love, Your Daughter Sonya

To the Wetzel family,
It has been 26 years this month that we all lost Roy Jr., I will never forget my time spent with your family when he and I were together. You all taught me some things I will never forget about being a family. Roy Sr. was such a fun guy to be around and loved his family. It gives me peace to know they will be together up there bringing laughter to all. You will all remain in my thoughts and prayers like you have been over all these years.Love Sue
