Russell H. Peters, 85, of Whitehall, PA, died Sunday, March 9, 2014, at the Phoebe Home in Allentown, PA. Born in Whitehall, he was a son of the late Thomas and Laura (Bowen) Peters. He was the husband of the late Lovey (Behney) Peters, who died in 2005. He was a truck driver for Economy Pretzels before retiring in 1985. Prior to that, he worked for the Emmaus Foundry. He served his country in the Army Air Corps and served in WWII. Survivors: Surviving are sons, John Peters and wife, Michele, of Whitehall, PA, Ronald Peters and wife, Terry, of North Carolina, Donald Peters and wife, Mary, of Whitehall, PA, Rodney Peters and wife, Judy, of Catasauqua, PA, Larry Peters of Whitehall, PA, and Glen Peters and wife, Linda, of Walnutport, PA; daughters, Carol, wife of Francis Bilder, of Whitehall, PA, Beverly Kelley of Florida, Betty, wife of Edward Zimmerman, of Whitehall, PA, Lucy, wife of Gerald Vincent, of Allentown, PA, Debbie, wife of Virgil Roque, of Whitehall, PA, Bonnie Boyer of Whitehall, PA, and Cindy, wife of Rich Nederostek, of Whitehall, PA; 32 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by sons, Russell R. Peters and Kevin Peters; daughter, Patricia Peters; and a grandson, Rusty; and five sisters. Services: Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Friday, March 14, 2014, at the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067, with the Rev. Albert Martin officiating. A viewing will be held Thursday evening, March 13, 2014, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., in the funeral home. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery - West Catasauqua.
