I worked at Moravian Hall square for seven years. Ruth was one of my absolute favorites. She was an incredibly strong woman. I was always in awe of her. Her dear friend Clover was one of my close friends. We had them both over for dinner. We had such a nice time. My small children had a nice memory. God bless Ruth. I will remember her always.

Dear Marlea,
I was sorry to hear about your mother. She and my mother were classmates at Duke and long time bridge players. My mother, Helen Stackhouse Bradford, relocated to Moravian Hall from Florida after my father died specifically to be near your mother, Mickey, she called her.
Your mother was very supportive and continued to visit my mother even though she did not recognize her. Through all of this your mother was battling her own health problems but always had such a wonderful, positive attitude. I admired her so much and so appreciated all of her kindnesses to my mother. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

Our thoughts are with you. We are unable to attend the service on Friday morning, but we want you to know that we will be with you in spirit. For years, Ruth was a close and dear friend of Doug's mother, Dot Badger. We remember Ruth as such a sweet and kind person. She will be missed. When we drive on Linden St. near Melrose, we often think of your parents and the good times our parents had together.
