Scott Eck Obituary
Scott C. Eck, 52, of Allentown, died on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in his home. He was the husband of Bonita L. (Gornick) Eck. The couple would have celebrated 23 years of marriage on July 7th. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late William H. and Arlene M. (Liebensperger) Eck. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Allentown, and was a graduate of Parkland High School. Scott was a Relief Operator at Nestle Purina, formerly ALPO, in Allentown for the last 31 years. Scott was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors. Survivors: Wife; children, Luis A Vazquez Jr. and Genny M. Vazquez; grandchildren, Joseph and Areseli Cartagena, and Mykil and Jason Vazquez; and great-grandchildren, Gianni and Arianna. Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., Saturday, Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Allentown. A viewing will be held on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m., in Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 17th and Hamilton Streets, Allentown and from 9:30 to 10 a.m., Saturday, in the church. Interment in Jordan Lutheran Cemetery, Orefield. Contributions: May be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Attn: Donor Services, P.O. Box 65039, Dallas, TX 75265 or Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, 1111 Stewart Ave., Bethpage, NY, 11714.

Bonnie: I am so sorry of hearing the loss of your husband Scott. I have many memories that I will alway's cherish working with Scott at the old ALPO PLANT.. I will alway' remember the special name he gave me. Did you guess it. Well the name was Mr. Yuk. That's because I use to make the chemicals up for sanitation nite. There are no word's that I can express of loosing a loved one. But I celebrate that he has joined his father in heaven and that he no longer suffer's. I know he will spiritually alway's be watching over you for the rest of your life. My thought's and prayer's are with you and your family. I pray that God will help you out at this time of mourning. My Dear Bonnie. Scott was a great friend and a model employee for me at Alpo Pet Foods. I enjoyed working with both of you and since I just lost my wife, I know how hard it is for you to try to accept Scotts passing. My prayers are with you and your family and my Scott rest in peace.
