Sharon L. Getz

Sharon L. Getz, 73, of Emmaus, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022, in the comfort of her home surrounded by family. She was the wife of Edwin O. Getz, Jr., who celebrated their 50th anniversary on September 30th. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Wayne W. and Dorothy E. (Engelman) Walbert. Sharon worked for EFM in Emmaus, food service in the Southern Lehigh School District, and Buckeye Pipeline as an administrative assistant in the engineering department, as well as being a farm wife. She was a member of the Vera Cruz EC Church, where she taught Sunday School. Sharon loved her grandchildren very much.

Survivors: Husband; Daughters, Lisa Pope and her husband Daniel, and Melissa Yenser and her husband Rick; Sisters, Diane G. Keiser and Peggy Roche; Grandsons, Derek Pope and Matthew Yenser. She was predeceased by a brother, Donald Walbert.

Services: Calling, 6-8 p.m., Friday, October 28, 2022 at Bachman, Kulik, and Reinsmith Funeral Home at 225 Elm St., Emmaus, PA. Calling, 9:30-10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 29, at the funeral home, followed by a service at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Vera Cruz EC Church Cemetery.
