Stewart Doddy Obituary

Stewart Francis Doddy, 76, of Pen Argyl, died on July 4, 2023 at Complete Care at Lehigh Center. He is the husband of the late Catherine (Arvonio) Doddy. Stewart was born in Bethlehem on January 11, 1947 to Francis & Margaret (Smoyer) Doddy. He served our country faithfully in the US Army during Vietnam, retiring as a Master Sergeant in the Army National Guard. Stewart worked as building & plumbing inspector for Raritan Twp. NJ. He was lifetime member of the Pen Argyl American Legion Post #502 and the VFW national association. Stewart was an avid gardner and horticulturist.

SURVIVORS: Sons: Luke Doddy (Jeania) of Virginia Beach, VA and James Doddy (Amy Weil) of Bethlehem; stepson: Jay Kerosetz (Gena) of Tega Cay, SC; stepdaughters: Melissa Welsh of Chester and Jeanne Kerosetz of Pen Argyl; brothers: Francis Doddy (Valerie Koob) of Ventnor City, NJ and Simon Doddy (Monica) of Nazareth; sisters: Lizabeth Paxton (Stuart) of Hellertown and Amy Veres (Michael) of Glendon; sister-in-law Debbie (Minorics) Doddy of Alpha, NJ; grandchildren: Ethan and Cole Doddy; step grandchildren: Alexander Rose Humphreys and Justin Kerosetz; great grandchildren: Nikolas and Catherine Hall. Stewart was predeceased by 2 brothers: Patrick and Joel Doddy.

SERVICES: Graveside Services with military honors will be held a 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery - 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, 18940. To share an expression of sympathy with this family, please visit www.heintzelmancares.com. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. – Hellertown.

Amy, Luke + Jamie, sincere condolences, just heard today about Stew's passing. May the many fond memories give you peace. I havn't seen Stew for years, but I have many memories of parties + alot of good times when we all lived by the river! Stew always had something going on, anything from painting the Delaware, to building a barbque out of river rock, to scaring people with the mongoose... RIP Stew

Stu Doddy - what a nut! One of the funniest guys I have ever known. Spent a lot of time together in high school at PCHS, lots of laughs, lots of crazy stuff. Sorry to hear the news, we've lost a good one. At ease, Sergeant. Hope to see you on the other side.

I'm so sorry to family and friends. Stew was a great man, loved his fur baby, his beautiful home. He carved his tree ( front yard) into a beautiful eagle, was so fabulous with his hands, gardening, etc. He was so proud being a veteranNow He is at peace with his parents, brothers, pat and Joel.
