I would like to thank all of you for your kind words, sweet memories & love you've shown for our family during this terribly unexpected time.To quote my uncle Bill, "She was the sunshine of the family". She was an amazing mom.. while we may not have appreciated, or even noticed everything she sacrificed & did for us... she most certainly gave everyone she loved every ounce of herself. Going thru her belongings was one of the most amazing trips down memory lane, she saved everything & it was a blessing to be able to actually see how much she chrished us all. We were all loved dearly... but the love she had for my dad was unmatched... except maybe his love for her. I can only pray that over the years my husband & I grow to love eachother as deeply.

I had the utmost pleasure of spending many hours in the Martin household during my teenage years. Sue was a remarkable woman and doting mother who handled a houseful of children with ease.
I'm sending my love, thoughts, and prayers to Walt, the girls, Chris and Scott; but, most especially to my dear, sweet Jen. There are no words to ease your pain. May your memories comfort you and bring peace to your broken heart. Love you!

Oh Suze, I can hardly believe you are gone! The memories I have of more than 50 yrs. ago will stay with me forever. I just pray they make my heart and eyeballs stop hurting. I know that would make you laugh, that WONDERFUL laugh of yours!! Before I get too silly, I pray for Walt and your whole family to make it through this pain they have right now. You guys will never get over it, but the feelings just get different. Your life gets different. It takes a very long time to get so different. Just hang in there, all of you. Sorry, my eyes were leaking. Sue, remember us riding the "loop" around downtown Allentown in one of the 2 Mustangs?? Your white one, or (preferably) Billy's red convertible. Eight track playing LOUD ~~ the BEACH BOYS? How about our goofy dark room with one tiny candle lit while the Doors were playing? Or driving around Lehigh U. and you'd be begging me to go into one of the frat parties with you? I NEVER said yes, so you NEVER got in one. LOL!!! How about my little apartment on 8th St. with the little hanging light in the corner? Watching TV, ironing my kahki (sp?) jeans. In my underwear, rollers in my hair, and a bra on even though I didn't need one? So much more but arthritic fingers are cramping up. I will ALWAYS love you my sweet friend. Forever~~until we meet again.
