Thelma Schureman Obituary

Thelma M. Schureman, 94, of Allentown, passed Thursday, November 2, 2017, in the VNA Hospice of St. Luke's, L. Saucon Twp. She was the wife of the late Joseph H. Schureman and companion of the late Franklin T. Rader. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Thomas P. and Lillian E. (O'Rourke) Paul, Sr. A 1942 graduate of Allentown High School, she was employed at Sears, Roebuck and Company as the credit center manager's secretary for 42 years prior to retiring in 1984. She was a member of St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sears Retirement Group, a former member of the Business and Professional Women's Club, and a former member of the Rosebowl Bowling League. Survivors: many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Henry Meiley, Jr., brothers, Thomas, Jr., Roy A., and James G., and sisters, Elizabeth L. Lick and Grace T. Bolestridge. Services: private. Arrangements entrusted to STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME, INC. (www.stephensfuneral.com) Contributions: in lieu of flowers, to church, 417 N. Seventh St. Allentown 18102.

I will always remember how I used to look up to you. You were always so beautiful, polite, and nice to me. You were a professional woman back when it was a mans world and I was so proud of you! I will miss you and now heaven has another angel. Love you.
