Dear George, Toni, and Family,
Please accept our sincerest condolences in the loss of your Dad and Grandfather. Mr. Halkias served his country, community, and family as an upstanding American and hero, educator, athlete, father and grandfather grounded by a deep religious faith and kind and gentle spirit. He truly epitomized the Greatest Generation. We know that he will be deeply missed by all of you. May he rest in peace and share in eternal love with his beloved wife.

My sincerest and deepest sympathy goes out to you and your families on the passing of your Father. May you be comforted by family, friends, and those who know and love you today and everyday. I was saddened upon reading of the passing of Ted. I have known him since my early years first through Brother Stanislaus(Ted Reybitz) and then later while we were teaching in the Bethlehem Area SD.I don't know of any man who lived a more CHRISTIAN life then Ted. He was a good "role model" for his students and players. Another connection we had was the Carmelite Monastery . It has been a few years since I last saw Ted but I never forgot him. Distance will not allow me to attend his funeral, but I will remember Ted in my prayers. May he RIP.
