To the Anderson children, it is with great sadness that I have found this book. As most of you may recall 25 years ago I spent a great deal of my life in the presents of Tom and Tune. I find myself in daydream thinking of the many, many, fond memories I have of that time in my life. As you all must be sad for your loss I want you to know I only can think of your parents and smile. I know for the years I was close to your Mom and Dad that they were allways both most proud of all of there children, and frankly through some prety crazy stuff. I'll think of your parents and yourselves often in the days to come, I'll tell stories to my children and fill them of memories of my childhood and we will smile and laugh. Lots of love to all, Joseph F Kiley

Mr. A, as I so dubbed you... Here's to a wonderful father and most definitely the best father in law I could imagine. You could always make me smile as I'm sure you did many people throughout your life. You touched the hearts of so many and my family and yours will greatly miss you Love, Jeannie

Thank for you for being such a wonderful father to Teri and her brothers. Thanks also for always making me feel so welcome when visiting. I've always admired your accomplishments, and of the many you can be proud of, your children are perhaps the greatest. May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

Pop-Pop,
You were such a good man with countless memorable qualities that I'm really going to miss. Thank you so much for everything you have done for me and the family over the years. I regret not coming home to see you and to have a nice chit-chat. You were loved by so many people and I feel like a huge part of my life is missing now. I'll love and remember you always.
Thanks for all of the things you have done in your life and for sharing your big heart with everyone around you. I'll never forget how happy you got while doing even the smallest good deed for your freinds and family, and that jolly laugh that made me smile each and every time I heard it.
You will be greatly missed.
Your Grandson,
Tyler Anderson

Dad,
I remember the first time I met you...Sunday afternoon at the dinner table, 1979. 3 generations sitting around enjoying life. It was my joy to share that experience for many many years, and with the next generation added to the fun. Dad- you were a "humble family guy" to us. You continued the legacy of MomMom and PopPop's unconditional love of family, It was a great lesson that I'm still praying I'll learn. We kids felt so welcome and treasured every time we came- how encouraging and uplifting. You never ceased to amaze me in what you could do with your own hands, a few tools and some fleeting moments of patience! Homemade rolls, handcut wallpaper, rockinghorses, carbuerators, succotash, teeny dollhouse parts, the world's best potato salad....fixing appliances, was there anything you couldn't do (at least as well as a hired hand!)? "Santa" will have to retire his jersey....Christmas will never compare. Be joyfull in the knowledge that Heaven has no lines for the latest Christmas "must have" toy! So WHAT will you and mom do with your time?? RELAX??...no. that would be the other eternal destination....I'll bet God has plenty of perfect projects to keep you busy...and heaven will be just right for a backyard party when we join you. Oh will you be missed. Thanks for the MEMORIES. God Bless you. Love Lori

I didn't really know you but I do know you through the children you raised to adulthood. And most especially Tyler Anderson. He is his father all over again. Thank you and God bless.

We wanted to share this prayer with all you, in remembrance of Mr. A.
THINKING OF YOU
With every thought and prayer for you, I envision you whole, well, and free.
Thinking of you brings me sweet memories, a smile to my face, and a greater appreciation of you. With each thought of you and prayer for you, I envision you whole, well, and free.
Remembering you gives me joy because you have shined the light of love into my life. You have been a role model and teacher to me and to others. You are a reminder of the positive difference one person can make in a family, a community, and the world.
You are an example of God’s spirit in expression as life, love, and wisdom. Though distance and time may separate us physically for a while, we are forever united in spirit and in love. Always know that you are in my thoughts and my prayers.
“For God, whom I serve with my spirit by announcing the gospel of his Son, is my witness that without ceasing I remember you always in my prayers.”—Romans 1:9

I am so, so sad to hear of Tom's passing. He was such a wonderful, kind, smart man who had an easy laugh and a quick wit.
I met Tom through my Dad, Len Haywood at Mercy Ridge. One of my fondest memories is when we met in Rome for dinner and sightseeing. His last evening was my first evening. Tom was so much fun! His attempt to order dinner in Italian caused all (including the waiters) to laugh! He just grinned at us! He had such a joy for life and living.
My prayers go out to you and your family and also to Doris Schultz. I know that I cannot compare my missing him to your loss. I hope that the knowledge that you made and shared many, many good memories with my friend Tom will help to give you peace at this sorrowful time.

I met Tom through my Dad, Len Haywood, at Mercy Ridge. Tom was the sweetest, kindest, most wonderful man I've had the pleasure to meet. I will miss seeing him on Thursday nights. My heart and prayers go out to his family and to Doris Schultz, his very special friend.
