Thomas R. McCormick
Thomas R. McCormick, 67, of Gregory Place, Hellertown, Pennsylvania, died January 3, 2010 at the VNA Hospice House of St. Lukes. He was the loving husband of Barbara (McQuillan) McCormick for over 40 years. Born in New York City, he was the son of the late Raymond and Muriel (Walsh) McCormick. He attended the Good Shepherd School, Manhattan Prep, and Manhattan College, where he made friendships that lasted his lifetime. He was a parole officer for the State of New York for over 30 years before retiring, having been cited for meritorious service. He formerly resided in New Fairfield, Connecticut, where he raised his family and served as a volunteer with the Boy Scouts. Family and friends were most important to Tom. He loved to read, travel, hike, and play cards. He will be greatly missed. Survivors: Tom will be lovingly remembered by his caring wife; son, Thomas, and his wife Allison, of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, son, Brian of Brooklyn, New York; grandchildren, Tommy, Millie, and Teddy; brother, Raymond, and his wife, Margaret, of Melbourne, Florida; and cousin, Jeanne of New Canaan, Connecticut. Services: A memorial service will be held this spring. The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1418 Main Street, Hellertown, is in charge of arrangements. The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings and Prep community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself … any man’s death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
