Victoria Simons Obituary
Victoria M. Simons, age 81, of Nazareth, passed away in Easton Hospital on Sept. 3, 2004. Born Sept. 3, 1923 in Nazareth, she was a daughter of the late George Sr. and Emma (Minnich) Hartzell. Victoria worked as a local crossing guard. Mrs. Simons was a member of the Dryland United Church of Christ, Lower Nazareth. She was a member of the American Legion Post 415 auxiliary, Nazareth and a life member of the PTA of Nazareth School District. Survivors: She is survived by her husband, Wilbur F. Simons; daughter, Sharon and her husband, Sonny Laubach, of Lower Nazareth; granddaughters, Stacy Laubach Zabroski and her husband, Richard, of Nesquehoning, and Dawn Laubach Werkheiser and her husband, Sam, of Nazareth; grandchildren, Brandon, Sarah and Richard; brothers, Richard Hartzell of Bushkill Township, Larry Hartzell of Nazareth, Neil Hartzell of Easton and Gerald Hartzell of Tatamy. She was predeceased by brothers, George Jr. and Robert. Services: Relatives and friends are invited to her service at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 6, 2004 in Dryland United Church of Christ, 4415 Newburg Road, Nazareth 18064, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery. Arrangements, Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth 18064. Contributions: American Diabetes Association, 2045 Westgate Dr., Bethlehem 18017 or her family would appreciate contributions to her church.

So sorry for your great loss...the Hartzell family was such a big part of my life as a child in Nazareth.

Dear Uncle Jimmy and cousin Sharon,
I'm so sorry for your loss. Aunt Vicky was a very special lady and I'll always remember my times with her, when I was a young child. Now she is with her sister-in-law, my grandmother, whom I miss so much, Betz(Elizabeth). Aunt Vicky, my Nana, and Papa can party with the Angels and God. She was a blessing to us all. I will cherish all our childhood memories of our get- togethers, pinics, and when Sharon would cut my hair and give me a perm in my grandparents basement. Those were such happy times in our lives, when life was so simple back then.
