Virginia Longacre Obituary

Virginia Faire Longacre, 77, of Swanton, MD, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Garrett Regional Medical Center, Oakland, MD.

Born October 13, 1944, in Norristown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Florence (Himes) Sheraton. She was also preceded in death her husband, David Paul Longacre, and a son, Stanley Milton Longacre.

Virginia was a homemaker and a dairy farmer's wife. She was a member of the Palm Schwenkfelder Church in Palm, PA.

She is survived by a son, Ronald P. Longacre and wife, Ruby, Oakland; three daughters, Pam M. Parker and husband, Kenneth, Sebastian, FL; Vickie A. Longacre, Palmerton, PA; Denise M. Lee and husband, Shannon, Swanton; two brothers, Joe Maziarv and Glen Sheraton; two sisters, Dorothy Schell and Kathy Haines; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

At Virginia's request, she will be cremated. A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date. Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Dr., Oakland, MD, 21550, is in charge of her arrangements.

Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Hospice of Garrett County, P.O. Box 271, Oakland, MD, 21550.
