Walter C. Stettler
Walter C. Stettler, 97, formerly of Emmaus, died Saturday, March 10 in the Artman Lutheran Home, Ambler. He was the husband for 69 years of the late Miriam (Kruse) Stettler, who died in August 2005. Born in Trexlertown, he was a son of the late Irving I. and Jennie (Fritch) Stettler. He was employed by PPL, Allentown, for 47 years retiring in 1974. He was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Trexlertown. He was a past master of Lehigh Masonic Lodge 326. Survivors: Son, David W. and his wife, Jane A. Stettler, of Plymouth Meeting; grandchildren, Jennifer and Andrew. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, March 15 in St. Pauls Church, 8227 Hamilton Boulevard. Call 10-10:45 a.m. Thursday in the Church. Arrangements, Schmoyer Funeral Home, Breinigsville. www.schmoyerfuneralhome.com. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, to the Walter and Miriam Stettler Endowed Benevolent Fund, formed by the family to provide care for residents of Artman Lutheran Home, 250 N. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, PA 19002.
