Warren Beer Obituary

Warren G. ''Buck'' Beer, 81, of Coopersburg, died May 4 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was married to Jan B. (Vaughan) Beer for 54 years. A 1958 graduate of Lehigh University with a master's degree in business administration, he was a construction projects supervisor for Bethlehem Steel Corp. before retiring in 1982. Born in New York City, he was a son of the late George and Hannah (Raucher) Beer. He was a member of Cathedral Church of the Nativity, Bethlehem, and its Pastoral and Respite Care committees, vestry and served as property chairman, Chalicer, reader and van driver. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving as a lieutenant colonel with the Army Corps of Engineers and a veteran of the Korean War before retiring in 1966. Survivors: Wife; son, David of Center Valley; daughter, Betsy of Pembroke, Mass.; sister, Audrey M. Witte of DeWitt, La.; four grandchildren. Services: memorial, 3 p.m. Saturday in the church. Arrangements, Falk Funeral Home, Hellertown. Contributions: Church memorial fund and youth group.
