Wayne Parent Obituary
Wayne F. Parent Sr., 59, of Bethlehem Township, died May 24 in St. Lukes Hospital, Fountain Hill. He was the beloved husband of Carol A. (Kressler) Parent. They were married for 40 years last December. Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of the late Frank and Eleanor (Shearer) Parent. Wayne was employed by the Lehigh Valley Site Contractors, Easton, in the parts distribution department for five years. Previously, he was a foundry worker for Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 31 years. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Bethlehem. He was a member of Manoquesy Masonic Lodge 413, Valley of Allentown. Survivors: Wife; daughter, Annette W. Mease and husband William of Bethlehem Township; son, Wayne F. Parent Jr. and wife Tammy of Jim Thorpe; brothers, Ronald Parent of Baltimore, Md., Dennis Parent of Nazareth; sister, Diane Mika of Douglasville, Ga.; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Kressler of Bethlehem Township; grandchildren, Shane Parent, Kelsey and Ashley Mease. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem. Call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Interment, Bethlehem Memorial Park Cemetery. Contributions: To the church, 537 High St., Bethlehem 18018.
