William J. Bloomingdale
William J. Bloomingdale, 68, of Northampton, Moore Township, died Wednesday, November 4, 2009 in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Bonnie J. (Jennings) Bloomingdale. Together they celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary last February. Born in Pittsfield, Mass., he was a son of the late William Sr. and Angeline (Zaffner) Bloomingdale. William was employed by Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, as a tech partner in the intensive care unit for two years. Prior to that, he was a systems analyst in several states for more than 30 years, locally at Martin Towers for Bethlehem Steel Corp. before retiring. He served his country in the Navy, from 1958-1962. Survivors: Surviving along with his wife, Bonnie, are two sons, William H. Bloomingdale of Northampton, Scott R. and his wife, Jessica Racine, of New Tripoli; brother, Walter and his wife, Yolandi Bloomingdale, of Tolleson, Ariz.; two sisters, Jean E., wife of Anthony Aulisio, of Pittsfield, Mass., Shirley A., wife of Michael Samale, of Port Saint Lucie, Fla. Services: 5:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, 2009 in the Schisler Funeral Home Inc., 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, 18067, where the family will receive friends from 3:30-5:30 p.m. prior to services.
