William A. Goebert
William A. Goebert, 86, of Allentown, died December 10, 2011 in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Doris M. (Gehringer) Goebert. They would have been married for 64 years in January. He was a salesman at Wagner Appliance in Allentown until retiring. Prior to that, he was a salesman for Snyders Television, Allentown and was a wholesale route man at Lehigh Valley Dairy, Allentown. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Raymond R. and Chrissie (Peltz) Goebert. He served the United States Navy during WWII. He was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Allentown. He was a former member of the Mountainville Lions Club and the Franklin Social Club. Survivors: Wife; daughters, Sharon A. Peacock of Catasauqua and Gale M. Sikora of Miami, FL; sister, June Durback of Allentown; grandsons, Tim Peacock and his wife Kelly, Brian Peacock and Anthony Sikora; and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Joseph, Nikolas, Brianna, Collin and Logan. Services: Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the J. S. Burkholder Funeral Home, 16th and Hamilton Sts., Allentown. Call Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
