William Laudenslager Obituary

William R. Laudenslager
William R. Lefty Laudenslager, 86, of Allentown, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown. Born in Salisbury Township, he was the son of the late Charles E. and Blanche S. (Nonnemaker) Laudenslager. He served his country honorably in the Army during World War II. William was a woodworker for the Allen Organ Company in Macungie for 28 1/2 years before retiring in 1991. He was a member of Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, Allentown as well as the Mercantile Club, Emmaus and a life member of the Fearless Fire Company, Allentown. William was a former competitive bowler at Fearless Fire Company for 55 years. He enjoyed doing landscaping work for his neighbors. Survivors: Brothers, Ernest and wife, Jean, of Allentown, Dalton and wife, Susan, of Breinigsville, Edwin and wife, Ernestine, of Allentown; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Evelyn Held. Services: 11:30 a.m., Friday, May 10, 2013 in the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Inc., 46 E. Susquehanna Street, Allentown. A viewing for family and friends to be held 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Interment to follow at St. Marks Cemetery, Allentown. Contributions: Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society L.V. Unit, 3893 Alder Place, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
