CAROL FIGEL Obituary

CAROL FIGEL Carol Jean Figel, 90, of Woodsfield, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Arbors at Woodsfield. She was born in Chester, W.V., November 28, 1934, a daughter of the late Carl W. and Doris Foreman Wilkinson. She was a graduate of Weirton High School and attended Alabama Teacher College. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Eli Figel, daughter Karen Sue Schleret, brother Carl Wilkinson Jr., two sisters Kay Fitting, and Judith Hale. She is survived by her son Keith Figel of Woodsfield, Judith (Jeff) Emmons of Nashport, Ohio, son-in-law William Schleret of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Emily (Dan) Sammons, David (Ashley) Emmons, Bradley Workman, Eli Schleret, and Ethan Schleret, and great-grandchildren, Oliver and Lincoln Sammons. Friends received from 12 p.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m., September 6, 2025, at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, Woodsfield. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery Woodsfield. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
