DESTINY WISE Destiny Rose Wise, 31, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away at 4:34 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta, Ohio. Destiny was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, niece and friend. She was born at Glendale, West Virginia at 6:04 p.m. on September 11, 1992 a daughter of Greg and Teresa DeJesus Wise who survive of Woodsfield, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Edward Knott; great-grandmother, Betty Jo "Griga" Manley; uncle, Joseph Seidler; great-uncle, Edward C. Knott and a brother, Rickey Wise. Surviving in addition to her parents, who never left her side, are a son, Foster Wise-Smith; grandma, Dottie, "Moomy" DeJesus; grandpa, Gary (Cheryl) Wise; grandma, Rhonda McEndree; aunt, Krisstina "Nina" DeJesus; Joseph Wise and his fiancé, Gracie; sister, Rae Lacey Wise and her fiancé, Crista Bates; niece, Lillian Wise; nephew, Clayton Wise and many loved aunts, uncles and cousins. Destiny was a free spirited soul who had a passion for the outdoors. She loved the beach, hiking and kayaking. She was always on the hunt for a new place to visit and explore. She loved reading, journaling and spending time with her son, Foster and her animals, Apollo, Artemis and Purrito. She also had a passion for helping as many people and animals as she could. Although Destiny loved many things, the two greatest loves of her life were her son, Foster Sebastian Wise-Smith and her person and partner, Brent Stimpert. Destiny was a kind thoughtful soul, a caretaker to many, a brave adventurer and an incredible friend. She will always be in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Friends and family were received at Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78, Woodsfield, Ohio from 6:00 p.m. until time of a Celebration of Life service at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2024 In accordance of her wishes, a cremation will take place with inurnment at the convenience of the family.
