JOHN HASLAM Obituary

JOHN HASLAM John Wesley Haslam, 90, of Clarington, Ohio, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024, at WVU Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Glen Dale, W.V. He was born December 20, 1933, in Clarington, Ohio, a son of the late George Haslam and Ida Ross Haslam. John was a retired laborer with Conalco. He was a Christian by faith and an avid turkey hunter and fisherman. He loved playing Texas Holdem and Euchre. He was a member of the New Martinsville Moose and a Mason with the Moriah Lodge in Powhatan, Ohio. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Haslam and grandson, Andrew Haslam. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Janet Ault Haslam; three children, Sherry (Scott) Saner of Powhatan, John (Debbie) Haslam of Clarington, and Michelle Thomas of St. Clairsville, Ohio; one brother, Dewey Haslam of Clarington; two sisters, Diane Miller of Clarington, and Rose Jordan of Ashville, Ohio; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Private services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, Clarington. Sympathy expressions at grisellfuneralhomes.com.
