LINDA CLAY Obituary

LINDA CLAY 06/03/1942 - 10/06/2025 Linda L. Clay, 83, of Woodsfield, Ohio, passed away Monday, October 6, 2025, at Altercare Summit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell, Ohio. She was born at Akron, Ohio, on June 3, 1942, a daughter of the late Quentin Swanson and Audrey Bryan Swanson. Linda was a homemaker and a member of North Canton Eagles Ladies Auxiliary Post 2223, North Canton, Ohio. She was a founding member of Antioch EMS, Antioch, Ohio. Linda was also an avid O.S.U. Buckeyes fan, loved gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and her dog, Sassy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Clay; three brothers, and one sister. Surviving are one daughter, Candie (Dana) Weber of Lewisville, Ohio; three sons, James Russell of North Canton, Troy (Judy) Russell of Beallsville, Ohio, Shawn (Crissy) Conner of Grove City, Ohio; two sisters, Kathy Hutson of Akron, Nancy (Russ) Timmon of New Hampshire; seven grandchildren, Tyler (Caitlin) Conner, Zane Conner, Ava Conner, Ashley (Jordan) Lucas, Brittany Schroeder, Derek Weber, Christa Russell; six great-grandchildren, Myla and Pacey, Valerie and Lincoln, Niam and Nevaeh. As per Linda's wishes, a cremation will take place with a Celebration of Life service to be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield.
