JOSEPHINE BETH MEHEN MAY 9,1949 - FEBUARY 12, 2024 Josephine Beth Conroy Mehen of Boise, Idaho was born on May 9,1949 in Phoenix, AZ. The first-born daughter of Betty Yager Conroy and Joseph Conroy. JoBeth passed on Feb. 12, 2024, of natural causes. Her service will be held at Eagle River Event Center 1015 S Bridgeway Place Eagle, ID (Boise area) on Saturday March 9, 2024, at 3:30 pm. Mass will be celebrated followed by a light reception. JoBeth is survived by her son Sean Conroy Mehen and his wife Kim Inouye Mehen of New Meadows, ID, and grandson Christian Preszler. Her sister Vicki Brownewell, her husband Mike Brownewell, her two nephews Michael and Matthew Brownewell and their families, all from the Houston area. Her sister Dotti Brown, her husband Bob Brown, her two nephews Justin Brown and Angus Brown and their families are all from Arizona. JoBeth is preceded in death by: Her parents Joe and Betty Conroy, her husband Stephen Mehen, and her son and daughter in law Rory and Sara Mehen JoBeth attended St.Marys and Xavier High Schools, and Phoenix College. She was married to Stephen Mehen in1971 in Phoenix. They were married for 50 wonderful years. JoBeth and Steve lived in Ramona, CA, then El Centro, CA where he ran Central Valley Feed Yard. They moved to Boise, ID in 1983. She and Steve later moved to New Meadows, ID as owner/operators of The Hartland Inn. Growing up JoBeth loved to water and snow ski and figure skate. Her summers were spent at the beach in Encinitas, CA. She became an avid snorkeler in her later years. JoBeth never met a stranger. She was always happy to chat and had many longtime dear friends. She loved to travel and go on adventures. Some of her happiest moments were spent planning the next trip. JoBeth kept a positive attitude towards life despite her health problems.
