Randy Haskins Obituary

Randy Haskins Randy Joe Haskins, currently of Kooskia, Idaho, and previously from Cascade, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family June 28, 2023, in a Meridian hospital. While all of his family and friends are overwhelmed by his passing, they are forever grateful for the time they were able to share with him. Randy was born in Cascade, Idaho, to Jesse and Tressa Haskins Dec. 23, 1960. Randy lived most of his life in Cascade until he moved to Jordan Valley, Oregon. During his high school years, Randy loved playing football and was captain of his team. He enjoyed hanging out with his many friends. After high school, Randy moved back to Cascade and worked alongside his father and brother logging for many years. After he was injured in a motor vehicle accident and was not able to work in the logging industry, he worked at the mines in both Stibnite and Thunder Mountain as an assayer. After the mines closed, Randy attended Sage Trucking School and obtained his CDL and finished out his working career driving truck. Randy always enjoyed the great outdoors that Idaho had to offer, including fishing and hunting. If there was a fishing hole nearby, you would probably find him there! Everyone knew that Randy's greatest accomplishments in life were his children, Brandi, April, Travis, Breanne and bonus daughter, Desirae. All who knew Randy understood his immense love for his children. He loved seeing them thrive and grow in life and loved to share their many successes. Randy was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Haskins; and stepfather, John Pitman. Randy is survived by his mother, Tressa Pitman; stepmother, Betty Haskins; brothers, Rowdy (Karon) Haskins, and Leroy Haskins; sisters, Kim (Kevin) Weighter, Jessica (Jeff) Emory, Andrea Haskins, Sabrina Haskins, and Jamie (Kevin) Stills; his daughters, Brandi (Paul) Heindselman, April Jones, Desirae (Tim) Hines, and Breanne (Cameron) Haskins; son. Travis (AnnMarie) Haskins; 5 grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Randy will be dearly missed by his family and friends and all that knew him. A celebration of life will be held in Cascade at a future date.
