I knew Bob as Bobby at Eagle Grade School. He was an incredible presence, meaning, all the kids loved him. I remember once in Junior High or High School, he permed his hair ( which was the style of the day ) and he looked really funny with his curls. But Bobby persevered the moment with a smile on his face (even if it was a goofy smile).
He was a bouncer at Gentle Ben's Bar way back in the 80's and I one time approached without my I.D., Bobby recognized me and he let me in. That was the last time I saw him. Bob was an unbelievably friendly person, a person whom I will miss. Incidentally, Bob hated it when I said whom (I'm serious. He rolled his eyes at my pretension). He was an everyday person who was loved by everybody.

Sending my heartfelt love and sorrow to you all at this sad and untimely loss. I always found Bob fun to have as a neighbor and the "kid next door". He was only ten when I first saw him and it still comes as a shock to think of him as a grandpa. He leaves many memories to so many people.
