ROBERT WAYNE "BOB" HALL July 9, 1965 - June 24, 2023 Robert Wayne "Bob" Hall was born July 9, 1965, to Butch and Audrey Hall in Cascade, Idaho. Growing up Bob spent his weekends at The Ranch helping Grandpa Hall picking strawberries and getting into strawberry fights with his cousins. His summers were spent camping at Warm Lake and Grand Jean with his family sleeping in the back of the truck. At 4 years old, Bob moved with his family from Cascade to Boise, attending Taft Elementary, then to Eagle where he attended Eagle Elementary and Lowell Scott Junior High. He floated the canal with his friends on a raft named Bubblegum. Those friendships lasted throughout his 57 years. Bob played football, but mostly ate candy on the sideline, for Meridian High School. He graduated in the class of '83. After graduating high school, Bob attended BSU, but partied at U of I. Bob was always the life of the party and had a strong presence in a room. The friends he made at U of I were lifelong friends. As a kid Bob loved hand whipped ice cream, Johnny West cowboy action figures, G.I. Joe's, digging in the dirt, lining up cowboys and Indians on the fireplace ledge and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. All of which he was able to share with his grandchildren later in life. Bob was a hard worker and started working for his Dad at Circle H Construction in 1980 at 14 years old. He spent his 15th birthday working at a job site. He learned early on how to dodge wrenches and hard hats as well as operate equipment and operate it well. "I can put a toothpick up an ant's [backside]" was something he would say about his talents at Backhoe Rodeos. Bob spent 44 years of his life at Circle H working his way up to president of the company and passing down his love for construction to his son. Bob met his wife Kimber on a co-ed softball team in the summer of '87. After Kimber asked him out, and he got permission from his Dad, they went on their first date to a Johnny Cash concert. They dated a few months before tying the knot on May 7, 1988. They were happily married for 35 years. During that time, they welcomed three children into the world, Kohl, Audra and Addie. In the era of raising his young family, Bob spent summers coaching baseball and helping raise 4-H animals and spent time working out of town; but he always made sure to attend his kids' concerts, recitals and hundreds of baseball/softball games, occasionally from the parking lot. Bob was stubborn and hardheaded and wasn't afraid to tell an umpire, or anyone else for that matter, exactly what he thought. Bob made many memories for his kids including camping at Frog Lake, taking the RV up Scott Mountain, watching "Paint Your Wagon" musical, mushrooming, snowmobiling, going on vacation, bringing home stray animals and spending lots of time working at The Ranch. Along with those memories he also passed down his wit and stubbornness to his kids and grandkids. Bob was Promoted to "G-Pa" in 2014 and again five more times after that. He liked to sit on his stool in the corner of the garage listening to music watching the grandkids play. He loved chasing the kids around the kitchen island hollering and winding them up before bedtime then heading down to the basement to watch "Naked and Afraid" and chill. The grandkids will always have memories of G-Pa saying, "I love you very much," speed boating to Charlie's Beach and sneaking Reese's Peanut Butter Cups from the candy jar while he played cards online at the office. Bob was a morning person. He would often start his day with a loud rendition of "Roxanne," then fill his unwashed coffee cup and head to the garage for his morning smoke. He was funny and quick to tease, if he liked you. The Ranch was a very special place for him, and he would sit on the patio late into the night listening to Country Gold Radio and playing cribbage. His presence will be greatly missed, but he will always be in our hearts and watching over us. Early Morning on June 24, 2023, Bob peacefully passed away. Bob is preceded in death by his Dad, Butch Hall, his grandparents and numerous loved ones. Bob is survived by his wife, Kimber; his three children, Kohl (Alex) Hall, Audra (Patrick) Swenson, and Addie (Trevor) Lempesis. G-Pa lovingly left behind six grandkids: Hayes and Quincy Hall; Husckston, Audie, Wesleigh and Kiplee Swenson; and one on the way, Baby Lempesis, who all loved him very much. He is also survived by his mom, Audrey Hall; sisters, Debbi (Jeff) Mason, Danielle (Tom) Standerwick; a niece and nephews, Nikki and Jake Standerwick, Jesse (Samantha) Mason, Dakota (Jen) Mason; and a special second cousin, Carol (Rex) Barlogi.
