Glenna June went to her heavenly Home Wednesday, June 8, 2022.
She was born on December 19, 1937, in Yancey County, to the late David and Viola Presnell Jarrett.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Eugene and Dean; and sisters, Mona Lee and Rheba.
June graduated from Claremont High School. She was a diligent worker with excellent work ethics and thoroughly enjoyed working, which she did until she was eighty years old. She was a very kind hearted woman who loved blessing others by helping them work, taking part in their lives and blessing them with finances when able. June was not one with extravagant means but blessed others as she was blessed. She loved her family dearly and was a very caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and sister.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kim and favorite son-in-law, Mickey; grandson, Will and wife, Amanda and sons, Luke and James; grandson, Andy and sons, Bennett and Ethan. Also surviving Glenna is her sisters-in-law, Lou Etta and Jill; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Beam Funeral Service, at 2:00 p.m., with the Reverend Laura Long officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
The family wishes to thank all those at Mountain Ridge who cared for her and gave her much love. We also want to thank Carolina Foothills Hospice in Rutherfordton, N.C., who was a great help to us in many ways. We also want to thank all those who visited her and cared for her in any way.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Clinchfield Presbyterian Church, 87 Greenwood Dr., Marion, N.C. 28752.
