Stan Almond, 70, of Morganton, NC, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025. He was born on May 19, 1955, in Cabarrus County, NC, to the late R.L. Almond and Robbie Jean McClamrock Almond. Stan was a man of faith and exhibited that through his ministry at Autumn Care Nursing Home. Anyone who knew him knew his love for Christ. He was an amazing husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, and friend. Stan loved playing the guitar, banjo, and mandolin. If he wasn't praising God with his music, he was tinkering with his tools and cars.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Fabena Almond; sisters Sue Harris and Donna Pittman; and brother, Coy Pittman.
Stan is survived by a daughter, Susan Almond; stepdaughter, April Monroe (Ken); grandchildren, Storm Monroe, Blue Monroe, and Haven Monroe; dear friend, Nate Pepka, whom Stan mentored; extended family; and fur baby, Sparky.
A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Victory Temple in Nebo, NC.
