BONNIE STEINER Obituary

BONNIE STEINER The family of Bonnie Steiner sadly announces her passing on July 7, 2025, in Mercy Hospital, Oklahoma City. Bonnie, age 88, was the wife of Glen Lavern Steiner for 59 years. They raised three daughters: Vicki Donley of Clinton, OK, Kathy Jones of Bainbridge Island, WA, and Stephanie Heinrichs of Edmond, OK. Born September 7, 1936, in Clinton, OK, Bonnie was the daughter of E.H and Minnie (Peters) Steigman of Clinton, where she graduated from Clinton High School in 1954. She then graduated from Oklahoma General Hospital in 1957 and was part of the first nursing class associated with Southwestern Oklahoma College. Bonnie's life was a testament of her relationship with Christ, being a dedicated nurse, attending bible studies, taking care of her special grandchildren, and creating elaborate gardens with her husband, Glen, in Weatherford. They moved to McPherson, KS until 2016, where Glen passed. Bonnie then moved to Edmond, OK, for her final five years of life. While living in Weatherford, Bonnie was an RN (Registered Nurse) where she left a positive impact on patients for 42 years. She attended Weatherford's First United Methodist Church as well as McPherson's First United Methodist Church. Bonnie was involved in most of the activities with her grandchildren: Matt Donley and his wife, Kiley, of Piedmont, OK, Lance Donley, and his wife, Whitney, of Edmond, OK, Anna Jones and Justin Catuna of Seattle, WA, Micheal Heinrichs of Edmond, OK, Tyler Heinrichs and his wife, Hillary, of McAlester, OK, and Bonnie Robinson and her husband, Chaz, of Edmond, OK. BeBe adored her great grandchildren and was able to love them even more and their activities after moving to Edmond: Kayten and Kamryn Donley, Hayes and Hudson Donley, Aubrey, AJ, and Beau Heinrichs, Hunter, Boone, and Turner Heinrichs. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Ronnie Steigman, of Montgomery, AL, and her husband, Glen. A memorial service is not planned at this time; the family requests that donations be made to a special program in church or to a community project.

Bonnie usually sat in front of me in church. One Sunday I told her I was dismayed because I couldn't find a red necklace to wear with my shirt with cherries on it. Just so happened at our Christmas Eve service she handed me a bag, she gifted me a red necklace! I remember her whenever I wear red! Prayers to her family!
