KATHY JOHNSON Kathy D. Johnson passed peacefully to her eternal home on November 30, 2024. She was born on December 5th, 1969 in McPherson, KS to Galen E. Rump and Shirley D. Miller who were surprised by twins but Kathy would be quick to let you know "she was older by 10 minutes"! She is survived by her husband, Mason W. Johnson, daughter Arianna Wolf (Alex), son Mason Luke Johnson (Faith, fiancée), grandson J.D. Wolf and expected granddaughter, Mia Wolf, 17 chickens, 3 dogs, and 2 goats named Kathryn and Maxine after Kathy's and Mason's grandmothers, father Galen E. Rump, and mothers Shirley D. Miller and Erna Schmidtberger, sisters Kimberly VanWagner, Kari Crews, Eva Shook and brothers Michael and Steven Ahlstedt. She was a dedicated aunt to 6 nieces, 3 nephews, 3 great nieces and 4 great nephews. She was preceded in death by grandparents Art and Norma Rump, Carl and Kathryn Frantz and Earl and Iladene Nelson. Kathy graduated from Smoky Valley High School in 1988. She held the office of class president for Senior year and was fully involved in all high school experiences and still to this day was diligent in getting her classmates together for class reunions. She was musically gifted in playing the cello and her proudest moment was being second chair in the Messiah Festival during high school. Kathy was a fierce defender of her family and a devoted and loyal leader in her excellent career as a dental office manager. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, of which there are many. Visitation will be Friday, December 6th at Crick-Christians Funeral Home from 5-7pm at for family and from 7-8pm for friends. Funeral services will be held at the Evangelical Covenant Church at 2pm Saturday, December 7th, with graveside service to follow at Smoky Hill Cemetery. A Swedish Coffee reception will be held after at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to help the family to defray medical costs.
