Sharon Gawith Obituary

SHARON GAWITH Sharon Rae Gawith Born 11/27/1946 in Newton, Kansas to Clara "Curtiss" and Albert Higgins. Sharon had 6 siblings-Phylis Griffith, Delores Wadley, Ellen Disney, Everett Williams, Albert Higgins, and Cathy McCurdy. Sharon married Dana Tilley in June of 1964 and had her daughter Mary Tilley. Later on, Sharon married Bobby Gawith and had another daughter Amanda Gawith. Sharon graduated high school in 1964 and spent many years working as a QA Auditor for Abbott Labs. As a hobby, she wrote poetry, having one of the poems published in a book although she would never tell her family in what book. Sharon was sassy, always laughing, and never met a stranger. Sharon is proceeded in death by her spouses Dana Tilley, Bobby Gawith, and her companion Escobedo "Jimmy" Montana, her parents Albert and Clara Higgins, her siblings Phyllis Griffith, Delores Wadley, Ellen Disney, Everett Williams, and Albert Higgins, and her daughter Mary Tilley. She is survived by her daughter Amanda Gawith, grandchildren-Britany Lemon, MacDaniel Maisel, Devin Parsons (Kellee), and Marlee Maisel, her great grandson Koda Parsons, her sister Cathy McCurdy, and her many nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held Saturday March 1st at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton at 11am. Afterwards, there will be a potluck luncheon held for anyone who like to join. The address for the luncheon is 840 Campers Row in Newton. It's the East Volunteer Hall for East Harvey County Lake.
