Bobby Hayes Obituary
Throughout his professional side of life, Bobby demonstrated intelligence and an entrepreneurial spirit. Career highlights include sales with Exide Battery, Management with Camp Oil Co., Heavy Haul Driver for Mayfield Trucking Co., and the ownership of B & M Erectors. In each role, Bobby brought dedication and determination, earning the affection of staff and clients alike.
Bobby's life was rooted in family. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Gail Miller Hollis Hayes of Kennesaw, Georgia; his sons Bobby Eugene Hayes of Conyers, Georgia, and Tony Hayes of Decatur, Georgia; and his stepdaughter Jennifer her husband Bill, and cherished grandson Noah, as well as his sister Melba Brown Bowan and her husband Keith.
His extended family includes niece Janet Queen and her husband Johnny; nephew Rusty Lanier and his wife Lynn; sisters-in-law Sheila Butler and Vickie Williams with her husband Randy. Each relationship was meaningful to Bobby and reflected the importance he placed on family connections. Additionally, he is survived by extended family members and friends who will hold his memory close.
Bobby was preceded in death by his father James Edward Hayes (and wife Eva), mother Nellie Elizabeth Brown (and husband Emmitt), sister Helen Elizabeth Brown Lanier (and her husband James Roy "Red" Lanier), brother-in-law Rene Butler, and nephew Chad Butler.
A devoted Dog Dad to his beloved Willow Grace, Bobby found joy in companionship and the unconditional love of his four-legged, best friend.
Known for his outgoing nature and generous heart, Bobby embodied the phrase "never met a stranger." His warmth drew people in effortlessly-whether through conversation or simple acts of kindness.
At Bobby's wishes, no public service will be held.
