Edward A. Palcak Sr.

Edward A. Palcak Sr., 90 years old, of Marietta, GA, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 17th at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery.

Edward is survived by his children, Sandra Dean Palcak Jennings and Eddie A. Palcak, Jr. (Michele); and grandchildren, Justin Lee Jennings (Taralynn) and Alexa Jennings. Edward is predeceased by his loving wife, Jewell Dean Palcak, daughter, Deborah Lee Palcak, and sister Marlene Scippa.

Born in Bridgeport, CT on November 13, 1934, Edward graduated from Fairfield Prep before proudly serving his country in the U.S. Navy, which he joined in 1954. During his service, he met the love of his life, Jewell Dean Foster, in Charleston, South Carolina at the movie theater. After marriage, they settled in Shelton, CT, where they raised their three children together. Edward built a successful career in data processing, where he was respected for his intelligence, integrity, and dedication. Edward joined the Navy Reserves in 1971 and after 23 years, he retired.

In 1998, Edward and Jewell moved to Powder Springs, Georgia, to be closer to their beloved children and grandchildren. During his retirement years he worked at Dobbins Air Force Base, enjoyed working at the election polls, and going to the VFW. Throughout their lives Ed and Jewell always enjoyed getting together for gatherings with family and friends. Their favorite pastime was going out with their dance group whenever they had the opportunity. For the last five years he lived at Winnwood Retirement community, surrounded by family and new friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Edward Arthur Palcak Sr., as giving was very important to him.
