James Manning Obituary

James Scott Manning, born March 16,1953 in Boston Massachusetts was called home to be reunited with his father (Dr. James H. Manning) and his sister (Sally Lowry) in heaven on November 4, 2022.

He is survived by his mother Pellie; brother Ben (Pam); children Josie (Shawn), Ben (Lindsey) and Macy (Dalten); grandchildren Lexi, Grayson, Alynsia, Ben and Emerson.

To know Scott was to love him. He was a proud graduate of Georgia State University. There was nothing he loved more than his mother, his children, his sidekick Blu, and UK football. Scott always lit up the room with his larger than life personality. His story telling is something that will not be forgotten by anyone who crossed paths with him. He will be missed by many and forever loved by those close to him.

Till we see you again cowboy!

Scott's celebrations will be - Thursday Nov 10, at 2pm in the chapel of Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral home, 180 Church St. Marietta, GA. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM. He will also have a celebration of life held in Lexington, KY on Saturday Nov 12. Details to follow.
